Champps

Ok, so we were eating at Champps tonight with Ben, JP, Leah, Sarah... annnd I'm so sorry but I forgot everyone else's names! Anyway, we got into a discussion, and we need your opinion...

Here is the situation... we are eating our meal, people are even being seated around us, and suddenly we look over and there is a staffmember starting to vacuum the room. Now, JP and myself were under that impression that its pretty sleazy to do that while guests are there. It detracts from the experience. J. Menck on the other hand thinks that it's cool cause they're just trying to finish for the night.

What is your opinion? How do you feel? Make your voice heard!

All I can tell you is that when J.P. & J.B.'s Grill opens its doors, the guests' dining experience will not be hindered by someone trying to get off 30 minutes early by cleaning while people are eating.

Three Andrews and a Bob

Tonight we made an expedition to the world of New Orleans. Andrew Price, Andrew Scott and myself went on a mission to pick up Andrew Ficara so he could be at Eddie G.'s wedding. Andrew Ficara is living in L.A. right now, working for Universal Studios but we wanted to get him in for the wedding so here he is :)

The Blog Wars

Ok, so blogging isn't about competition, right? Right.

But... If it was, this would be some of the competition.

Ok, in all honesty these are my boys. Check out their blogs (J-Dawg & JP) if you in the mood for some good reading.

As long as we're being honest, I really just wanted to post some pics from practice tonight. If you've ever the awesome God-given talent of the HPC worship team, this is the stuff behind what you hear on Sunday mornings with a whole lot of anointing mixed in with it ;)

Fire from the Ukraine

Here is a pic of pastor Kasevich delivering a slaming word at Refuge, our highschool ministry tonight.

Good stuff!

Also, please keep Sam Seidel and his family in your prayers. He is doing much better, but God is not done!

Quick tip to my LSU people!

www.Schedulizer.com

That will be your best friend as you begin your scheduling for the fall! You put in the classes you want to take and it gives you all the possible schedules. You can tell it you want a certain day off, or lunchtime free every day, or any other little things like that. Check it out!

Also, please continue to pray for Sam Seidel and his family. They are needing a miracle right now and we know our God is big enough. Pray for them throughout your day if you think about them please.

Thanks guys.

Prayer Request

Just a quick prayer request guys... If you were at HPC this weekend you have heard this already...

There is a little boy named Sam Seidel who was rushed to the hospital last night. His parents found him at the bottom of their pool. He is alive but in critical condition. He is 2 years old. Most of you know Aimee Gwaltney (Aimee Cait), anyway, she was his nanny for a long time and we both got really close to him.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers as they are going through this rough time. We know that no matter what satan tries to steal from this family he must repay one hundred times over! He is in God's hands and there is no attack of the devil that can stand against that!

Middleton Library

If you flinched when you read this title, we can be friends.

I've had a few people ask why I don't post many pictures from school, and well, I honestly don't know why they asked. First of all, the majority of my pictures are, in fact, on campus. Secondly, I do not find joy in school. Accomplishment, maybe. Getting closer each day to graduating, yes. But there is no joy in everyday school, as you can see in this picture.

Also, Griffis... I had a dream last night and you and I were running from a crazed taco moster, and he was screaming "That's alot of taco!" Weird, right?

Anyway. Switchfoot and Copeland tonight. Many pictures and much video will follow.

That's alot of taco...

Yeah, not much else to say about this...

Much love Griffis.

Lunch time

Well, this is what happens when you send the college student to the grocery store with someone else's money and a 7 year old. Hot dogs, doritos, and mac & cheese.

And there you have it. I hope this will bring an end to the large quantities of emails asking how I maintain my figure.

Waffle House Gangsta

Tonight was absolutely slamming! God showed up in a very real way and really rocked some peoples worlds.

Amplified was absolutely amazing, Chad Daniel was used by God and the worship just flowed!

This was some of the most realistic changes in peoples lives that I've seen in a long time.

Ok, the food is almost here. I hope everyone is having a great weekend, I know mine was totally rockin.

ECON 2000

There is nothing quite like waking up at 6:30 for an econ class.

Unless of course, you wake up and 5:30 and step on tacks.

More to come later.

Also, don't forget to keep track of the race to 1000. Head on over to Michael Grifis' blog for more info!

Waffle House

This has quickly become my Sunday morning tradition. Of course, usually Mark Bordelon is my breakfast date (don't tell Katherine), but we changed up the schedule this weekend so he is at the annex and nobody at Highland Road quite appreciates the between service meal like Mark and myself.

In other news, we've had 3 slammin' services this weekend already, and the 10 and 12 look like they are going to follow suit. Pastor has been emphasizing our focus on missions this year as a church family and its really exciting to hear about the things God is doing this year already. On top of all that we're getting to partner with some other amazing churches like Hillsong, Joyce Meyer Ministries, Church of the Highlands just to name a few.

I'm pumped about what God is letting me be a part of at HPC and 2007 is already shaping up to be a year where many people are going to be touched by God.

Also, I have the most amazing friends.

Alright, my food is almost here. Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend.

Cheers

Police

Alright, this is going to be short and sweet. For any of you that know, this will make you smile :)

Anyway, this morning I got my tickets to The Police reunion tour. I'm pretty pumped. Not really a groupie or anything, but I'm certainly a fan, and its not every day that you get to see a classic band get back together, so it should be pretty nice.

Alright, that's all for now.

Traffic

What do you do when you are stuck in traffic with nothing else to do? Take pictures with your phone of course. Julia and I were jamming to some John Mayer, and looking pretty sharp, if I do say so myself.

Old men and Astronomy

So, here it is. My first mobilepost from my new phone. The picture is pretty much what it seems. My astronomy class went to the 5th floor/roof of the astronomy building to check out some telescopes and other astronomical stuff. Anyway, we get up there and we seem to have busted this older gentlemen on the roof of the next building while he was taking his smoke break. Best part of course, being the fact that he was smoking a pipe.

Wednesday, March 7, 2007

Look out.

So, I got a new phone today (about time, right?).

Anyway, it s a nice little Blackjack.

Best part being I can use its high-speed internet and tether it to my laptop and access anything anywhere :)

Yeah yeah yeah, nerd alert.

Anyway, lots of picture posts coming soon.

Peace.

RED

Just a quick shout out to everyone that helped make RED an amazing night of worship and rocking out.. You guys completely blew me away! Dustin, Jarred, Leah and Salem really made it all flow beautifully! Not to mention Phillip, Trice(sorry if I butchered your name!), Adam, Jordan, and Jay, you guys are my heros.

Also, mad props to all the bands! No Shoes, you guys are awesome! We certainly need to do something again sometime soon.

Mark, Greg, Lawrence, Elton and of course Jonah, you guys rocked it out.

And of course, the Refuge Band, I wouldn't want to worship every week with anyone else.

K, hopefully I will have pictures up soon.

Thanks for everyone that came out, it was an awesome night!

Starbucks wisdom

Ok, so everyone knows about the whole "The Way I See It" campaign at Starbucks, right? Cool. So, last night I was over there studying. Anyway, I usually take a look to see what insight my cup of coffee has to offer me, and it's usually much too poetic to do any real good. Tonight was a little different though, sooo I thought I'd share the wisdom, since after all, it was shared with me first. Here is the slamming quote from Jodi Picoult...

"What would you do for someone you love? Would you lie, cheat, steal? Break the law and call it justice? Would you say yes? Scream no? Would you kill? Would you give up your own life? Would you move mountains, swallow fire, keep a promise? Would you change the world? Would you change yourself?"

I guess it reminded me of a message Jason Laird preached recently at Refuge. His main point was that so many times people are willing to die for what they believe in, but what God is asking is for us to live for him. And usually, this is the harder road to walk.

Ok, that's all for now. I have tests all this week and next, including an Accounting test that I possibly failed. Pray!

Cheers.
